Our Story

It all started with two colleagues, one audit engagement, and absolutely no idea that they were about to meet their person.

We met at an audit firm in Makati, where we started as workmates and eventually became friends. We quickly discovered that we had a lot in common—from the same school and university to, most importantly, the same sense of humor. From shared laughs and random kwentos to endless jokes and asaran, our friendship just came naturally.

Then the pandemic happened.

When the usual office bonding became everyday texts and chats, something unexpectedly changed. Somewhere between the endless conversations and staying connected through uncertain days, our friendship slowly turned into something more.

It’s funny how something good could come out of such a difficult time. Love came easy, but choosing to love each other came with its own challenges—society’s expectations, fear of judgment, and learning to accept ourselves and our love. Thankfully, we were surrounded by families and friends who chose to understand, accept, support, and cheer us on. Because of them, we learned that love feels even stronger when you don’t have to face the world alone.

From two young professionals just starting our careers, we grew up together—figuring out life, celebrating little wins, surviving disappointments, supporting each other through the highs and lows, and slowly making our dreams come true.

Five years later, under the lights of the tree at Pico de Loro, Zy made it official. No grand crowd, no elaborate setup—just the two of us, a heartfelt question, and a very happy yes.

And now, after all the laughs, asaran, challenges, adventures, and dreams we’ve shared, we’re ready for our favorite chapter yet.

We said yes to forever—and we’d love to celebrate it with you.
